About the IRIS Academy
What is the IRIS Academy?
The IRIS Academy is an interprofessional program on sexual health, fertility, and relationship science for trainees looking to learn more about research, program evaluation, and quality improvement in interprofessional clinical care. This program is free, augments credit-earning curricula and includes an engagement-based stipend.
Who is eligible?
Eligible scholars:
Are enrolled in a Masters/Doctoral program, internship, residency or fellowship in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia
Are training in a health-related field including but not limited to medicine, nursing, pharmacy, allied health, psychology, social work, counseling, public health, or medical sociology
Have the bandwidth to participate in up to 15 hours of asynchronous modules and twice-monthly meetings/email check-ins from August 2026-March 2027
What will scholars do?
Trainees will spend the year engaging with asynchronous modules from an individualized library of topics and will complete an IRB proposal or Specific Aims page by the end of the year (teamwork is encouraged, but those who need to do a capstone project can also join and receive supplemental mentorship from us!). Scholars will get feedback on their project from interprofessional mentors and a Community Advisory Board throughout the year.
We are accepting applications for Early Acceptance through April 15, 2026. Final deadline for regular admission is June 1, 2026.
